Today was one of the most incredible days of my life. City of David was invited to play at St. Anastasia's in Fort Pierce. We played in front of some 900 kids today. Words cannot describe the things I felt today. It was so amazing to be a part of God’s will. I consider it a great honor and blessing that God chooses to use me in order to bless and reach out to His people. The Holy Spirit was moving in a mighty way in that school today and I am so glad I was invited.

For the first time in my life I was used by God to pray the sinners’ prayer. I have never publicly prayed that prayer in front of anyone; asking them to accept Christ into their life. A couple hundred kids gave their hearts to Christ today… God is so incredible. I am just in absolute awe at how great and merciful Jesus is. The most amazing part is that God worked through us to make an impact on hundreds of lives today. To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen!

Each month from July to December, submissions are taken for this contest, and first round finalists are decided by industry professionals selected by King Cat Music. Five final songs are selected and go to public vote. (This page is the public vote or round 2) The public will decide the monthly winner.

WOW! We were so impressed at the showing of this film. We were so amazed at your acting ability and your boldness with regard to the message of your film.

What’s up COD Fans?

This wonderfully informative, ground breaking, earth shattering blog update is brought by yours truly Bob Guss aka “Toby” (long story behind the whole Toby thing… will share another time). Woo Hoo! I hope you are just as excited as I am. (Wow! I really am a dork) Anyways… So today is July 10, 2007 and guess what!?!?! It’s my birthday!! I am the big 22 today! Pretty sweet I must say. Please don’t feel obligated to get me anything, just the fact that you are our fans and taking the time out of your busy schedule to ready this is more than I could ever ask for  (Aww! how sweet, right?) However, if you ever want to buy me some Popeyes, I will certainly take you up on that offer. That is the greatest fast food establishment this side of the Mississippi in my opinion.

Enough about me and onto some news with COD. We have been taking this past week off, catching up on some much needed R&R. We have been pretty busy these last few weeks with finishing up the record and getting ready for the Jimmy Needham show. The show was a huge success! Thank you to all of you who came out to support us. We love you! And for those of you who could not make it out…don’t worry we still love you too!

Our rendition of “Awesome God” is movin up the Reach FM top 25 countdown! We are currently at #16! (I know what you are thinking… Werd!) I threw that in there for mamma Rach.

Other than that my COD people, we are rehearsing and getting ready for Bands with a Mission. What is BWAM you ask? Allow me to explain. City of David will be participating in the 2007 Bands with a Mission contest on August 18th in Tampa Florida. We are going to be competing with some local Christian talent for an opportunity to win a 1 year management contract with Jeff Roberts (manager for Casting Crowns, Leeland, Rebecca St. James, Skillet, etc.) and possibly some other cools prizes. So pretty much winning this contest would be a dream come true. We are praying for its success and are leaving it in God’s hands. We would appreciate it if you would keep us in your prayers as well. City of David always strives to do whatever it is that God is asking us to do. We never want to be outside of His will for our lives or our career as a band. So please remember us in your prayers. Also, if there is anything you would like us to pray for you about, please post something in our guestbook. We would love to pray for you and have other’s who read this blog pray for you as well. You can never have to much prayer.

Well, I think that pretty much raps things up for this blog update. This was my first blog for our website. Quite an accomplishment to add to my short list of accomplishments list. (I hope that made sense… I told you I was a dork)

This concert was a sell out and great success thanks to City of David and Jimmy and Kelly Needham. Wow! It was like a big church service. The evening started out with the high energy praise from City of David and a testimony by young bass guitar player, Bob Guss that didn't leave a dry eye in the house, and finished off with the incredible bible reflection and music of Jimmy and his wife, Kelly on violin. ReachFM came and shared information on their new towers and where to tune in to hear the Talk, Truth and Tunes of their station and tossed Reach Tees and COD Tees into the crowd! Richard and Lynn from www.MusicWorld3d.com shared a little bit about Music World 3D and that COD and Jimmy Needham would be the first Christian Event in their 3D world and will also be the first event in their www.praizeworld3D.com when it is up and running in a couple of months. Teen Challenge International had 31 girls from their Jupiter branch there compliments of World Shaker Ministry. They all said they had a really wonderful time. Stay tuned for more information!
